Secure Entity Recognition Nexus

One core.
Every identity.

No keys. No registers. No guesswork. Pick an identity, choose a finish, drag to inspect.

01What it is

Access control, built for the real world.

Sereon decides who enters a building, logs every movement with a precise timestamp, drives the electronic locks automatically, and gives operators complete visibility from a single dashboard on their phone.

It runs on a Hardware-enabled SaaS model: pay once for the unit and installation, then subscribe to the platform — dashboard, firmware, alerts and support. The device anchors the relationship; the software compounds.

02System Architecture

Three parts. Built to be taken apart.

A modular, three-component system. Each part is configured, upgraded or replaced on its own — the opposite of the rigid, one-function boxes the industry has shipped for twenty years.

Core

Central Computing Unit

The brain. In-house firmware runs authentication, encrypted local storage, networking and lock control. Doors keep working with no internet — no cloud dependency for opening and closing.

Encrypted · on-device · active thermal mgmt to 60°C

Pod

Detachable Sensor Pod

Swap the authentication method without touching the rest of the stack. Connected through a standardised industrial port, matched to the environment and the use case.

Hot-swappable · field-replaceable

Lock

Electronic Lock Module

A heavy-duty lock driven directly from the core, taking commands locally. Through a full network outage the door keeps reading the on-device access list. Power-failure behaviour is configurable.

Local command · configurable fail state

Standardised industrial connectivity

Aviation-grade circular ports. No vendor lock-in.

Every component mates through dust- and moisture-resistant ports rated for thousands of connect cycles, sourced from standard supply chains. Any technician can replace any part in the field — no proprietary tools, minimal downtime.

03The Pod Library

Change the identity. Keep the system.

One core, a growing library of pods. Match the authentication to the environment — and re-match it later as the building's needs change.

Fingerprint

High-volume daily use. Fast, impossible to share.

04Software Platform

Full control, from anywhere.

The app and web dashboard let administrators enrol a resident, revoke access at checkout, set windows, read the movement log for any person or door, and get real-time alerts — with no on-site presence and no technical knowledge.

Time-based access per user

Access windows set at the device level or per individual, taking effect immediately from a phone — no site visit.

Custom alerts & triggers

Choose exactly what fires an alert: every entry, failed attempts, curfew breaches, or a device going offline.

Multi-site & cluster management

Units across different doors, floors or entire properties, managed from a single unified dashboard.

Layered administration

Property owner, warden and security-guard roles — each with the right visibility and permissions.

Magnetic + pogo-pin dock

Snap on. Ready to go.

05Where it runs

One system, six very different doors.

The hardware is modular and the software is fully configurable, so the same core serves fundamentally different buildings without a custom build for each.

Every entry and exit logs automatically with no staff at the gate. If a resident isn't back by curfew, the system alerts the warden. The next morning there's a complete timestamped log for every resident and door — not a register someone may or may not have signed. Keys are eliminated: no locksmith calls, no lock changes at checkout, no retained access.

Guest movement, floor and amenity access, and arrival/departure timestamps all flow into one system from the identity collected at check-in. With the facial pod, guests reach their room the moment a booking confirms — no key card, no front-desk interaction.

Attendance fraud becomes structurally impossible — no one signs in for a colleague and no log can be edited after the fact, because each entry is tied to a biometric signature on the device. HR gets exportable, payroll-ready reports. Restricted floors are role-gated and any breach is flagged immediately.

Keyless entry at the main gate, car park and shared amenities, a tamper-proof log of all movement, and instant alerts for anything unusual. For the committee it replaces the guard register with a reliable digital record and credible data in any dispute.

The moment a membership lapses, access is revoked; the moment it renews, access is restored — no staff intervention, no awkward conversations at the door. Trainers get permanent access, members get time-gated access, and the owner sees real-time footfall from their phone.

Guest profiles are created before arrival and removed automatically after checkout. No physical key exchange, no in-person meeting, no risk of a departed guest retaining access — everything managed remotely in under two minutes per booking.

06Why Sereon

The market has two ends. We built the middle.

At the top, enterprise biometrics from ESSL and Timewatch demand IT teams and ₹22,000–35,000 entry points. At the bottom, operators still run keys and paper registers. Sereon is the modern infrastructure for everyone in between.

Incorporated as Sereon Private Limited. Production hardware finalised.

The team

Sereon is built by the engineering team at Permutes — a student-led research and product programme spanning embedded systems, machine learning, robotics, full-stack and scientific research. The team has competed at IIT Bombay Techfest and LNMIIT Plinth, built Sereon while in college, deployed it at a real client under contract, and structured a company from scratch. All IP — source, hardware, firmware, system design — is fully owned by the company.

10Transparency

What we're honest about.

Full disclosure of the current hardware limitations, each with its mitigation and roadmap.

All installations sit under architectural cover. An IP65-rated weatherproof enclosure is in active development for version-2 hardware.

A 600VA UPS is recommended per installation (₹2,000–2,500 per door). The system retains its last known state through a total blackout and restores immediately on power return.

Sufficient for most Indian conditions with standard ventilation. Fully unventilated enclosures in direct summer sun require shade or airflow — mandated during the initial site survey.

Fully offline devices use a manual technician update. Scheduled over-the-air update management is on the immediate roadmap.

Version 1 is a standalone platform. Full API access for third-party integration is planned for version 2; custom integration is available for larger deployments on request.

11Strategic outlook

We build the infrastructure that should already exist — and ship it into real buildings before anyone calls it the future.

Sereon sits at the intersection of two forces: the formalisation of Indian business under Udyam, which compels strict attendance records, and the deficit in urban student housing, which is driving high-yield private accommodations that need automated access. The hardware creates physical switching costs that protect retention; the software layers high-margin recurring revenue on top. Pricing undercuts legacy enterprise while staying accessible to mid-market operators — in a market projected to reach ₹249.7 billion by 2034, with execution risk already neutralised by a live deployment.
